Mission du Prieuré de Cénac 2011
BOTTLES AVAILABLE INDIVIDUALLY AT VINTAGES (LCBO)
La Mission du Prieuré de Cénac 2011 is a delicious, fruity wine that is brimming with floral aromas, particularly the scent of fresh roses. In the mouth, it reveals a fine structure that is also balanced and elegant.
Centuries ago, the Prieuré de Cénac or “Priory of Cénac” belonged to the Picpus monks who cultivated and sold wines throughout Europe, Russia, and America. In 1905, they were driven off of their land and the vineyards were sold to individuals. The Rigal family bought this storied estate in 1979. With hard work and dedication, they revitalized the 88-acre estate, replanted the vineyard, and rebuilt the cellar with all of the best equipment available. To this day, the land is cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, the vine, and the wine.
